The Dungeon
The Dungeon is a small venue in North Orlando. Located behind a dive bar, populated mostly by local alcoholics, the Dungeon is not a prominent place and is easily missed when driving by. The building itself feels more like a large tool shack, or an outdoor garage.
Don’t let this fool you however: The Dungeon is a very cool place to see a show.
The interior of the Dungeon definitely helps achieve a feel worthy of it’s namesake. Large wood columns and exposed wood trusses make the interior feel like a viking hall of lore. The cryptic painting of the venue’s logo on the back wall adds to the old feel. Add to this an authentic iron cage, and the mood is set for metal.
Parking at the Dungeon is limited, but given the average size of a show there, it’s more than enough. The alcohol selection is limited, but the adjacency to a bar helps the sometimes lackluster beer selection. Fan’s of PBR won’t be disappointed, as there is usually plenty of that to go around (yuck).
