Rockstar Mayhem Tickets on Sale

The Rockstar Mayhem (with Cannibal Corpse) is heading to Florida this August. The mega-tour, which features Marilyn Manson (he's still around?) and Slayer has a stop in West Palm Beach on August 11, and Tampa on August 12. Tickets are available online at livenation.com. Cannibal Corpse will play a second stage, which is a bit frustrating, considering some of the hacks that will get a main stage.

Cannibal Corpse Euro-Trip Update

Tampa area Death Metal legends Cannibal Corpse have released an update on their Eurpoean tour with Children of Bodom:

"Just wanted to check in and give you an update on how our European tour has been going.

The tour is actually almost over (five shows left, including tonight), and it has been absolutely killer.

Obituary Planning In Advance With Goatwhore, Krisiun, Berzerker, and Warbringer

It appears that some bands don't sit around waiting for tours to materialized. Death Metal pioneers, Obituary, have scheduled a tour with some other amazing bands for next fall. Currently, none of the announced tour dates include Florida. That happened with Obituary's last tour too, but a Tampa date was announced later.

Erik Rutan Hospitalized - Hate Eternal Tour Cancelled

In what seems like the darkest of times for Florida Death Metal bands, singer / frontman Erik Rutan has been hospitalized in Iowa City with an infection in his hand, as well as problems with his kidneys. Given that Erik has had issues with his kidneys before, the band isn't taking any chances. The U.S. tour has been cancelled while Erik get's better. 

Details are still limited to what's on the bands MySpace page, but it appears that Erik was admitted to the hospital last week. He's scheduled to stay in the hospital for another week.

Cannibal Corpse Touring With Children of Bodom in Europe

Following the release of their highly anticipated new album, 'Evisceration Plague', Cannibal Corpse will tour Europe with Children of Bodom and Diablo. The tour (as announced thus far) places the bands on fairly Death Metal friendly grounds.

Harvest The Deceased is Playing A LOT of Shows

Daytona Beach Hard Core band, Harvest The Deceased, has apparently lost their mind. They're releasing their first full length album in early 2009. In preparation for this, they've decided to embark on a very busy touring schedule.

Updates From Nocturnus Tour

Nocturnus guitarist Mike Browning has issued the following statement on blabbermouth.net regarding their Europe tour: 

This is Mike Browning and I want to be totally up front and honest with everyone that the original lineup will not be touring. 

My band After Death will be doing the tour as Nocturnus, we WILL be playing at least 7 of the 10 songs on The Key as well as a couple of old Morbid Angel songs done the way they were originally written on Abominations of Desolation!

Obituary Checks in From Japan

Front man for the lengendary Tampa area Death Metal band, Obituary, has issued this update on their tour in Japan:
"What a night! Somewhere around 20,000 people going crazy. This was a long trip for only one show, especially on the heels of our U.S. tour, but it was well worth it! You guys were awesome last night and it looks like we will be coming back to Japan soon. Our EP is apparently selling great here and it is setting it up nicely for us to come back for a complete tour of Japan.
