Blessed For Extinction is Aruspex's second full length album since 2001's Revelations. Overall, the album is good, even though it is a bit short on content. Adding 2 live songs as filler definitely helps, especially since Aruspex performs very well live. While Aruspex bills itself as a black metal band, many of the songs could easily be categorized as Death Metal.

The title track, Blessed For Extinction, is definitely the highlight of the album, and well worth the money to pick this one up. If you get a chance, check out Aruspex perform this material live. You'll be glad you did.
